I didn’t actually claim that fine article as my own at any point. It was a lazy copy and paste, and regretfully I didn’t attribute the article. I think I’ve said that before.
Ah, I see - I was incorrect to assume that what was written on your blog was written by you. In future, then, I will assume that what appears on 20six.co.uk/thumped, unless specifically stated, is not in fact written by you, but lazily copied and pasted from some unsuspecting original author. Zvest! Verily!
Stop assuming that what you put on your blog is your own work? OK. But in case anyone else is silly enough to assume that you write your own blog, you’d better put a banner at the top for clarification:
“Please! Do not assume that the below is my own work! It might just be a lazy cut and paste!”
Won what? I didn’t realise we were competing. To me, its not really worth it as I made an error, obviously. I responded to this entry for two reasons. One was to defend myself from being called a thief and the other was to remind you that assumptions aren’t always accurate - as in this instance.
I should say that a simple reminder would have sufficed.
Instead, you over-reacted about an article which I immediately apologised for, rectified and never claimed as my own.
It is the vindictiveness and bile you emanate that royally pisses me off (and countless others on 20six), thus explaining why this could “run and run”.
All bullies need a little bullying back, I’m afraid, even though I really don’t have the time or inclination. Call it a labour of love.
Betty: Thumped and Mr Ace are not one and the same (God forbid), although “things move around” could start an argument in an empty room so you’re partially right.
The blog ends there and I like to think that I’ve helped you feel a little more contented now. Being labelled a thief (for God’s sake) is a hard tag to shake. Throw enough mud and it sticks, you see. No over reaction at all.
